    Job Description

    Our client, a leading identity management provider located in Orange County, Southern California, is seeking a talented and self-driven software integration engineer to support their delivery oriented organization. You will be working with some of the leading engineers and customizing their Automated Multi-Biometric Identification System for government customers across North America

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO):

    • Create various java modules to customize their core product - a Multi-Biometric Identification System - J2EE
    • Create custom workflow by customizing a business process engine and providing reusable modules (Java)
    • Implement interfaces and data exchange modules to various B2B services (J2EE)
    • Install and customize software that has been released (rpm, yum)
    • Improve the internal process for data migration and software version upgrades
    • Configure software functions using XML
    • Create scripts to fine-tune software behavior
    • Perform the installation of operating systems, network systems, software.
    • Monitor system operations to detect potential problems

    REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION:

    • Good knowledge of Java and Javascript
    • Experience in performing basic system administration tasks from the Linux console (RedHat-based distributions)
    • Experience with RDMS-es. Preferably Oracle
    • Fundamental knowledge of networking, hardware, and software
    • Previous experience in computer engineering, architecture, or other related fields
    • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
    • Ability to prioritize and multitask
    • Deadline and detail-oriented

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

    • 4+ years of experience with the above tasks
    • Master or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Software Engineering is preferred

    DEVELOPMENT TOOLS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT

    • Atlassian Tool Stack (JIRA, Confluence, Fisheye, Bitbucket)
    • Subversion, GIT
    • Agile Scrum working in 2 week aligned sprints.
    • Multi-team projects - work together with other teams in the same building, or on other parts of the globe
    • No travel required
