    COMPANY:

    This Geminus position is classified as supporting an administrative support department for the Regional Care Group network. The incumbent hired will represent Regional Care Group network on official communications. Geminus Corporation collaborates with community-based health care providers, social service organizations and early childhood education programs to help increase access to high-quality social health care for children and families across Northwest Indiana. Geminus Corporation is a member of the Regional Care Group.

    POSITION: HR Generalist

    POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Generalist position will administer various Human Resource functions for the organization related to recruitment, compensation, benefits, training, and employee database with an emphasis on recruitment. The Human Resource Generalist will handle daily functions of the Human Resource department and will report to the Director of Human Resources. Daily functions include, but are not limited to posting open positions on social media, sourcing applicants, phone screenings, interviewing, hiring staff, onboarding and training. 

    EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in human resources or business administration required.

    EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience working in human resources with recruitment is essential.    

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs clerical and general office duties to assist the activities of the Human Resources Department.

    • Demonstrates ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job

    • Numerical ability to make arithmetic calculations including Excel spreadsheets

    • Assist HRBPs and hiring managers with recruitment by posting open positions internally and on social media platforms

    • Proactive sourcing and screening of all applicants to ensure they meet all job requirements and organizational standards.

    • Conducts preliminary interview (telephone or face-to-face) to determine initial interest and suitability for position

    • Collaborate with HRBP, hiring manager and/or director to prepare job descriptions. Responsible for assuring job descriptions are current and up-to-date.

    • Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

    • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff. 

    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

    • Tracks positions and keeps HRBP and hiring managers informed of status of open positions.

    • Maintain applicant and open position database

    • Attend job fairs when needed

    • Assists with department audits when needed

    • Scans documents into database and runs reports when needed

    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, and other related software.

    • Proficiency with or the ability learn the HRIS talent management systems.

    JOB TYPE: Full-time; Monday – Friday, 8a – 4:30p

    PAY: $18.60/hour to $24.17/hour per year (based on experience)
