  • Responsibilities

    Summary

    TGW Systems seeking a General Accountant to join the Finance team reporting to the Senior Controller. **** This role requires a detail-oriented professional, who is a self-starter with excellent communication and time management skills. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records as part of the Finance Department.

    Tasks and Responsibilities

    • Invoicing, project milestones, maintenance contracts, other: permits, freight, and taxes
    • Maintain and analyze Account Receivable balances, aging, CM, past due, credit checks
    • Prepare multi state Sales & Use Tax returns, tax exemption status – research into states
    • Maintains Fixed Asset Records and depreciation
    • ME, YE closing activities, Journal entries, work paper; Supprt Internal/External Auditors
    • Journalize all non-customer cash activities, Bank account reconciliation
    • Reconciles Corporate credit cards, payments, journalizes expenses

    Requirements

    • Bachelor‘s Degree in Accounting, CPA preferred
    • 3-5 years of experience in general accounting roles, in accordance with GAAP, IFRS.
    • Prior experience with Sales Tax returns, multi state a plus
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial software (e.g., SAP, Navision)
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
    • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

    • Ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms regularly.
    • Ability to lift and carry supplies and materials up to 25 lbs on occasion.
