Responsibilities: • Build temporary structures such as signs, cones, barricades, ramps, and other devices to control traffic around the construction site and tear down old structures • Carry, load, and unload tools and building materials such as sheetrock, saws, lumber, tile, grout, etc. • Run hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as survey equipment, jackhammers, and forklifts as required • Comply with all instructions given by the construction manager, and work with other team members to complete construction projects accurately • Execute construction tasks with precision, ensuring each project meets our high standards of quality and safety. • Collaborate with the construction manager and team to interpret and implement detailed construction plans. • Operate and maintain construction tools and equipment, ensuring they are used safely and efficiently. • Assist in the preparation and cleanup of construction sites, maintaining a tidy and organized work environment. • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely project completion. • Identify and report any potential issues or hazards on site, contributing to a safe working environment for all. • Adapt to various tasks and challenges, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills as needed. Qualifications: • This position relies on physical strength and stamina • High school diploma or equivalent is required - Associate’s degree, trade certification, and/or completed apprenticeship program is highly preferred • Own a valid driver's license • Comfortable working in inclement weather, like extreme temperatures, rain, etc. • Solid mechanical skills are needed, as are good eye-hand coordination and depth perception • Experience working on a construction site, understanding of blueprints and construction plans, and knowledge of construction tools, methods, and equipment is required Compensation: $25 - $28 hourly
