Summary

This General Counsel role provides senior legal leadership and strategic guidance to executive leadership within a fast growing business consulting organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, this position serves as a trusted advisor across the business, supporting commercial strategy, regulatory compliance, intellectual property protection, data privacy, risk management, and litigation oversight. The role partners closely with leadership and cross functional teams to ensure legal alignment with business objectives while scaling legal infrastructure in a dynamic, high growth environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior legal counsel to executive leadership on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and complex commercial matters

• Monitor, interpret, and advise on federal, state, and international laws impacting the business

• Develop and implement legal strategies, policies, and frameworks aligned with organizational goals

• Ensure compliance across sales training, business consulting, ecommerce, and regulated B2B and B2C activities

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial, vendor, and partner agreements, including provisions related to data privacy, indemnification, limitation of liability, and termination

• Partner with technical and compliance teams on data usage, privacy, and AI related legal matters

• Support intellectual property strategy, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, and related contractual protections

• Oversee risk management initiatives, including liability, cyber, and errors and omissions coverage

• Design and refine scalable legal workflows, templates, and internal processes to support growth

• Manage litigation, disputes, and pre litigation matters

• Coordinate and oversee outside legal counsel as needed

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree with active Florida bar membership required

• Demonstrated ability to build legal teams, systems, and processes

• Strong business judgment, communication skills, and executive presence

• Experience supporting AI or data driven products

• Comfortable operating in fast paced, evolving environments

• Collaborative, team oriented approach with the ability to influence across the organization

• Strategic mindset with credibility to advise senior leadership
