Bright Smiles Community Clinic & Dental is a nonprofit community dental clinic dedicated to expanding access to high-quality, compassionate dental care for underserved communities across Minnesota. We primarily serve patients with Medical Assistance (Medicaid), MinnesotaCare, uninsured individuals, children, families, seniors, people with disabilities, and patients facing barriers to care.

Position Summary
We are seeking a Full-Time/ Part-Time General Dentist with strong experience in root canal therapy and simple to complex surgical extractions to support our expanding clinic hours and patient demand. This role is ideal for a provider looking for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends, while making a meaningful impact in a nonprofit, community-based setting.
Flexible Shift Options (Monday–Sunday)
We offer a variety of shorter and longer shifts to accommodate different provider schedules and availability, including:
Standard Shifts:
8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Shorter Shifts (Examples):
8:00 AM – 1:00 PM
12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Longer Shifts (Examples):
7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Shifts are available Monday through Sunday. Providers may select consistent weekly shifts or flexible rotating schedules based on clinic needs and provider availability.
Key Responsibilities
Perform endodontic procedures (root canals)
Perform simple and complex surgical extractions
Provide urgent and emergency dental care for patients with pain and infection
Diagnose and treat advanced caries, abscesses, and complex restorative needs
Conduct comprehensive and limited exams and treatment planning
Collaborate with dental therapists, hygienists, assistants, and care coordinators
Deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed patient care
Complete accurate clinical documentation in the EDR
Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and Minnesota Board of Dentistry standards
Required Qualifications
DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
Active Minnesota dental license (or ability to obtain)
Demonstrated competence in root canals and surgical extractions
Commitment to serving underserved and diverse patient populations
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Plus Qualifications
Experience in community health, nonprofit, or public health dentistry
Comfort treating Medicaid/uninsured populations
Experience with patients with high dental anxiety or special health care needs
Bilingual or multilingual
