Responsibilities: • Refer patient to dental specialists such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists when appropriate • Ensure all work is compliant with infection and infectious diseases control standards; office policies and procedures; and safety, OSHA, and MSDS guidelines • Teach patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as dentures and retainers and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene • Oversee associate dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans • Implement and coordinate preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated • Work alongside our dental hygienists, multi-specialty Doctors, and administrative staff in composing comprehensive treatment plans Qualifications: • Unrestricted and current state license in good standing • Relevant knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is an asset • 2+ years in clinical or private practice dentistry experience is required • DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an ADA accredited dental school, and a Bachelor’s degree are required • Great communication skills and bedside manner are vital • General Practice Residency (GPR) • NYS dental license • NYS resident Compensation: $240,000 - $260,000 yearly
