Responsibilities: • Coordinate and perform preventive dental care treatments such as sealants, x-rays, flossing, fillings, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated • Supervise dental assistants, dental hygienists, associate dentists, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans • Examine the patients’ teeth thoroughly using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments to spot signs of dental diseases and determine the overall state of dental health • Refer patient to dental specialists such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, and periodontists when appropriate • Instruct patients on the use of recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as dentures and retainers and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene • Work alongside our dental hygienists, multi-specialty Doctors, and administrative staff in composing comprehensive treatment plans Qualifications: • Possess strong bedside manner, and great communication skills • Advanced knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is helpful • Unrestricted and current state license in good standing • A Bachelor’s degree and DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) or DMD (Doctor of Dental Medicine) degree from an ADA accredited dental school are required • Board Eligible and/or Board Certified in General Dentistry • General Practice Residency (GPR) • NYS dental license • NYS resident Compensation: $240,000 - $260,000 yearly
