General Dentist – Full-Time | Talladega, AL
About the Position:
A mission-driven, community-focused health center located in Talladega, Alabama is seeking a General Dentist to join its expanding dental team. This organization has a strong legacy of serving the medically underserved and continues to grow across multiple rural sites in the region.

Key Details:
Location: Talladega, AL – with the potential to support nearby rural locations as needed
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
No weekends or evening shifts
Patient Volume: 20–25 patients per day (some lower volume at rural locations)
Clinic Setup: 3 operatories, 1 dental assistant, and 1 hygienist
Technology: Uses NextGen EHR and Patterson Dental equipment
Services provided: Preventive and restorative dental care (cleanings, fillings, simple extractions, fluoride treatments); some crown and bridge services may be offered based on approval
Payor Mix:
The majority of patients are covered under Medicaid, Medicare, or sliding-fee scales, reflecting the organization’s focus on providing care to underserved and rural communities.
Candidate Profile:
Must be able to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, especially children
Comfortable working as the sole dentist in the clinic
Strong sense of teamwork, empathy, and mission-oriented care
Ability to work calmly in a high-need environment, while managing anxiety in both staff and patients
Eager to participate in community-based oral health promotion
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive salary with potential for student loan repayment eligibility
Minimum 3-year contract with a 6-month probationary period
