We are looking for 2 talented English Language Arts Teachers.
Grade Level(s): 6th & 8th
Schedule: 7:30am to 4:00pm Monday-Friday, excluding breaks
Caseload size: Approximately 100 students across 4 classes with a data-driven intervention block twice a week.
Hourly Rate Range: $32.00–$40.00 per hour
Responsibilities would include:
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and support student learning.
- Provide instruction in whole group, small group, and individualized settings to meet diverse learning needs.
- Adapt lesson plans, curriculum, and instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Assess and monitor student progress using data-driven decision-making.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and academic growth.
- Collaborate with other teachers, specialists, and school staff to support student success.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and school-wide initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) guidelines and district policies.
- Implement classroom management strategies to maintain a structured and supportive learning environment.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education or a related field from an accredited program.
- North Carolina Professional Educator’s License (issued by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction – NCDPI).
- Experience teaching in a classroom setting preferred.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Background Check required.
