General Engineer – Federal Contract | Long Beach VA

Location: Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, Long Beach CA

Schedule: Monday through Friday | 40 hours per week | Day shift

Contract: Start June 2026 | One year base with three option years

Allmed Staffing seeks a General Engineer to support the Engineering Department at the Long Beach Veterans Affairs Healthcare System. The role supports facility engineering, capital improvement projects, and infrastructure programs within a major VA medical center.

Key Responsibilities

• Support engineering and facility infrastructure projects

• Coordinate with VA engineering and maintenance teams

• Assist with construction and renovation project oversight

• Prepare engineering documentation and technical reports

• Track project timelines and compliance requirements

• Provide engineering analysis for facility improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related discipline

• Experience with facility engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects

• Experience with healthcare or government facilities preferred

• Strong documentation and project coordination skills

Compensation and Benefits

• Pay rate: $92 per hour

• Estimated annual income: $191,360
