Job Description

General Films, Inc., a 70 year old family-owned, packaging manufacturer, is seeking to fill a Customer Service Representative (CSR) position at our plastics facility located in Covington, Ohio.

The successful associate will maintain close customer contact from receipt of order through shipment and follow up on change orders, scheduling, and production to ensure accurate, on time delivery of goods promised. In addition to working closely with customers, the CSR will report directly to the Vice President of Sales and will interact on a continual basis with production, scheduling and warehousing in an effort to track customer orders and to communicate effectively with customers about their orders ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Answer customer inquiries regarding product offerings, quotations, list pricing, availability and production schedules
• Coordinate with other departments as needed to ensure excellent customer service
• Assist salespeople in negotiating customer's pricing freight and competitive pricing requests
• Maintain accurate customer records and pricing information on quote history
• Effectively address both internal and external customer issues in a timely manner

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:

• Detail-oriented possessing excellent organizational, time management, and follow up skills
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both oral and written
• Able to work independently
• Able to effectively analyze and interpret sales and production reports
• Service oriented and possessing a high level of integrity and quality output
• Computer literate with proficiency utilizing software products such as: MS Word, Excel, Internet browsers, Email applications and working within databases
• Able to calculate amounts such as commissions, proportions, percentages, area and volume

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
