General Labor - Galvanizing | First Shift | Madisonville, OH

We are hiring General Laborers for a galvanizing / metal manufacturing facility. This is a hands on position in a fast paced industrial environment. All employees start on the ground floor and are trained in multiple areas of the warehouse, with opportunities to advance into machine operation and higher pay once training is complete.

Responsibilities :

• Move finished metal product throughout the warehouse
• Bundle, stack, and organize materials for shipment
• Clean debris and excess material from finished product
• Assist with loading, unloading, and general shop support
• Operate forklift when needed, must pass client's on site training first (approx 3 weeks)
• Follow all safety procedures in an industrial environment

Requirements :

• Previous industry experience required (Rebar, steel, aluminum, fabrication manufacturing, etc.)
• Forklift experience is a must, will have to pass an assessment on site before operating.
• Minimal job changes and good longevity in previously held positions
• Must be able to work in a non-climate-controlled, heavy industrial environment
• Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for long periods of time
• Steel toe boots required
• Must be reliable and willing to work overtime when needed. This position is over a mile walk from the closest bus stop, so transportation is prefered.

Schedule:

Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm, OT as needed

Pay:

$17/hr paid weekly
