General Labor Paint Prepper - 3rd Shift
Scott Manufacturing Solutions is looking for a skilled General Labor Paint Prepper for our first shift who will, under supervision, prepare metal surfaces for priming and painting, clean and maintain the spray booth and paint equipment, and assist other departments as needed. Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned: • Apply coating with electric static airless spray guns. • Maintain painting equipment, which includes making minor repairs and ensuring proper supplies are on hand to complete assigned tasks. • Work effectively as a member of a team while continuously striving to improve and develop individual skills and knowledge. • Apply epoxy and polyurethane coatings in a manufacturing environment. • Meet or exceed deadlines and schedules. • Comply with all safety rules and guidelines. Qualifications: Required Skills/Abilities: • Knowledge of surface preparation, such as sanding surfaces, applying filler and removing imperfections, priming surfaces, and masking areas from paint. • Operate various pieces of equipment, such as Forklifts, spray guns, and other specialty equipment. Education and Experience: • High school diploma or GED equivalent. • One to two years of related experience and/ or training; or equivalent. • Combination of education and experience.
