Position Overview

ERC is seeking hardworking and dependable Construction Laborers to join our team. As a laborer, you will assist with a variety of tasks on heavy civil construction sites, supporting our crews in delivering high-quality, safe, and efficient projects. This hands-on role requires physical stamina, attention to safety, and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general construction labor tasks, including shoveling, raking, carrying, lifting, and demolition.

Assist operators and skilled trades on asphalt, paving, excavation, and utility projects.

Set up and clean work areas, tools, and equipment.

Load and unload materials and supplies.

Follow safety procedures and wear required PPE at all times.

Operate hand tools and small equipment under supervision.

Work as part of a team to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.

Requirements

Prior construction or laborer experience is preferred but not required – training is provided.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Physically able to lift 50+ lbs and perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.

Punctual, dependable, and willing to work as part of a team.

Schedule

Full-time position (40–50 hours per week).

Standard schedule: 10-hour shifts Monday–Thursday, 8-hour shift on Friday.

Home daily; per diem provided for out-of-town projects.

Overtime opportunities available.

Pay & Benefits

Starting pay range: $19.00 - $21 per hour (based on experience)

Overtime pay and $500 signing bonus eligibility

401(k) with 3% company match
