Responsibilities: A Laborer is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a hauling company, transfer station, recycling center, or landfill. Responsibilities may include such things as yard clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, general office maintenance, and other related duties. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: • Clean up the site • Clean all on-site equipment • Perform yard work, including blowing the customer area and trash removal • Operate general site equipment (Blowers, pressure washers) • Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work • Perform other job-related duties as assigned. • Work overtime and rotate shifts from the scheduled start time to the scheduled end time • Take an active role in the improvement of safety and health in the workplace • Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings • Experience in a landfill, transfer station, or waste experience preferred. • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions • Ability to be self-directed as well as work in a team environment • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screen • Other duties as assigned Ability to complete safety, operational, and other required training within a scheduled time period • Communication skills sufficient to complete required job functions • Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills sufficient to complete regular routine tasks Hiring Requirements/Preferences: • High school diploma or GED or equivalent • A minimum of 6 months of related experience in an industrial environment is required. Two years’ experience in an industrial environment as a Material Handler or comparable position is preferred Qualifications: • Experience in an industrial environment, with a minimum of six months required; two years preferred. • Ability to lift 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day, ensuring physical tasks are handled safely and efficiently. • Proven track record of working effectively in both team settings and independently, demonstrating self-direction. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, maintaining productivity and safety standards. • Strong communication skills to effectively complete job functions and collaborate with team members. • Demonstrated technical knowledge and skills to perform routine tasks and equipment operation. • High school diploma or GED equivalent, ensuring foundational education and skills are met for job requirements. Compensation: $17 - $18 hourly
