Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable General Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting various operational tasks, ensuring that work areas are maintained, and assisting skilled workers as needed. This position is crucial to the smooth and efficient running of our business operations and requires someone who is proactive, hardworking, and able to follow directions accurately.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform manual tasks as directed by the supervisor, such as lifting, carrying, and moving materials.
- Assist in setting up and cleaning up job sites or work areas.
- Operate basic tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures to create a safe working environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work areas.
- Support skilled workers in more complex tasks, providing assistance as required.
- Execute tasks with attention to detail and quality standards.
- Report any safety or maintenance issues to the supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven experience as a general laborer or in a similar role is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of safe work practices and handling materials safely.
- Basic understanding of tools and equipment used in general labor tasks.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Punctual and reliable with dependable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Experience working in a team-based production environment.
Physical & Environmental Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work indoors in a warehouse environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools.
Work Schedule & Benefits
- Full-time schedule, standard first shift hours Monday–Friday
- Overtime may be required based on production needs.
- Paid Time off after 90 days
