Pro Play Recreation is looking for an experienced Construction Laborer who naturally takes ownership, thinks ahead, and helps drive the job—not just complete tasks. This role serves as the #2, "The Crew Driver." You’ll be expected to understand the job, its files, anticipate what’s next, and keep momentum without needing constant direction. This is not an entry-level role. It’s for someone who already knows how to work, wants to get better, and takes pride in doing things the right way—without being asked twice. What sets you apart? • You move with urgency, but don’t sacrifice quality • You don’t need constant direction—you check the plan and figure it out • You take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks • You notice what others miss and fix it before it becomes a problem • You’re the person others naturally start following on a job site Responsibilities: • Execute full installation scopes with minimal oversight—from layout to final build • Stage materials, tools, and equipment so the crew is always set up to move efficiently • Read plans and owner’s manuals and translate them into accurate field execution • Assemble and install structures, hardware, and components correctly the first time • Operate machinery confidently (digging, back-filling, moving materials, etc.) • Set layout, elevation, and level with precision under the direction of the supervisor • Keep the job site organized, safe, and moving forward at all times • Catch mistakes early and solve problems before they become delays • Act as the second-in-command on-site—help drive the job, not wait on it • Step into leadership when needed and keep the crew productive • Own your scope of work and make sure it gets finished—completely and correctly • Know what needs to happen next and start it without being told • Keep pace high and downtime low • Communicate clearly, directly, and early when something’s off • Support the Supervisor by making their job easier, not heavier Qualifications: • 3+ years of construction or installation experience • Strong working knowledge of tools, equipment, and jobsite flow • Ability to read plans, layouts, and manuals and execute accordingly • Experience operating machinery (or ability to become proficient quickly) • Physically capable of demanding manual labor in outdoor conditions • Reliable transportation and consistent work ethic Compensation: $22 - $25 hourly
