Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced General Ledger Accountant to support our expanding finance team. This role will focus on managing complex accounting functions across multiple entities. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong command of GAAP principles, financial analysis skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger and associated sub-ledgers.
- Oversee multi-company accounting activities and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions.
- Lead monthly and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and adjustments.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll functions through shared services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiencies.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis and provide actionable insights to leadership.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Participate in audits (internal/external) by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Maintain awareness of changes in accounting standards and best practices.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting roles
- Proficiency in general ledger management
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience with accounting systems; high proficiency in Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred:
- CPA or CMA certification
- Experience with Netsuite
- Background in system or process implementations
