About the Role:

Miller, Leiby & Associates, P.C. is seeking a skilled General Liability Attorney to join our dynamic legal team in New York, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-stakes cases in a collaborative and professional environment where your expertise will make a real impact.

Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of general liability matters from inception through resolution, including trial

Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs

Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, and court appearances

Develop and execute litigation strategies in coordination with senior attorneys and clients

Communicate regularly with clients, adjusters, and opposing counsel

Analyze evidence, review discovery materials, and prepare case evaluations and reports

Negotiate settlements and manage case resolutions efficiently

Requirements:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Active New York State Bar admission in good standing

2+ years of experience in general liability/insurance defense

Strong knowledge of New York civil procedure and tort law

Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

Ability to manage a high-volume caseload independently and meet deadlines

Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused, professional demeanor
