POSITION SUMMARY
GSO is expanding its smart, ambitious, and knowledgeable sales team and hiring for Account Executive Outside Sales with responsibility for revenue growth in geographic regions. If you are a high-energy, positive professional with solid business-to-business sales experience, the ability to create new business customers and expand existing customer relationships in medium and large-sized companies across many industries, this role is for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Maintain and grow a book of business in assigned territory
Introduce new products, services and expand business opportunities within existing customer base
Strategic development and ownership of Pipeline Management to meet or exceed targets
Pre-call research through close including presentation preparation for all stages of the sales cycle
Develop leads from cold calling and qualify marketing leads to identify opportunities and create an effective sales strategy for the win
Analysis of customer data and strategic development of pricing requests to close deals
Develop relationships with current customers and prospects to become the 'trusted advisor'
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Describe general customer profiles targeted, understand of products, services, and features of company technologies against business application benefits
- Understanding of industry and financial trends impacting company and/or customers; identifies the organizational structure and functions within a business
- Knowledge of competitor tactics, product/service offerings, and strategies; translates competitor performance and actions into implications for business in territory
- Creates Account Strategies through knowledge of customers general business needs and knows the account status; may provide information about accounts for use in planning account strategy
- Ability to use negotiation techniques in less complex situations; recognizes the potential impact of negotiation proceedings on the business; gains consensus from involved parties
- Solid decision making skills recognizing customers at risk prior to impact on business; identifies resolution to basic customer issues and recommends solutions
- Establishes and maintains contacts with all decision makers and influencers within customer organizations; builds relationships to further understand customers business and objectives
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED:
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS), preferred
- Proven track record of selling against quota with experience closing new business
- Business to Business and/or Business to Consumer sales experience preferred
- Ability to travel sometimes overnight
- Exceptional verbal and written professional communication skills
- Skilled with use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook)
- CRM experience, Salesforce.com experience a plus
- Excellent organization and presentation and time management skills
- Highly energetic, motivated self-starter
- Demonstrated decision-making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
