ROLE SUMMARY As the General Manager of The Embassy Cigar Lounge, you will be the cornerstone of luxury hospitality and operational excellence. You will oversee daily lounge operations, ensure an unparalleled guest experience while maintaining a high standard of service, quality, and ambiance. The General Manager will be responsible for the overall success of The Embassy, from managing a dynamic team to achieving business goals and fostering relationships with guests, vendors, and partners. With a deep understanding of luxury hospitality, cigar culture, and premium spirits, you will lead by example, creating an environment where both guests and staff feel valued, respected, and engaged. Your ability to inspire your team, drive revenue growth, and uphold the highest service standards will ensure The Embassy continues to set the benchmark for upscale cigar lounges. Responsibilities: Guest Experience & Service Excellence: • Create a refined, welcoming atmosphere that embodies our luxury brand. • Serve as a cigar concierge, guiding guests through our selection with expert knowledge, pairing cigars with premium spirits for an elevated experience. • Foster strong, personalized relationships with guests and members, ensuring each visit feels tailored and special. • Resolve guest concerns and special requests with professionalism, ensuring every experience exceeds expectations. Operational Management: • Oversee daily lounge operations, ensuring smooth service and operational excellence. • Maintain proper humidity and storage conditions for cigars, ensuring optimal freshness. • Monitor cleanliness, ambiance, and operational procedures to provide a consistent luxury experience. • Manage inventory and compliance, ensuring cost goals are met and procedures are followed. Team Leadership & Development: • Collaborate with management on recruitment, training, and development of staff, ensuring a well-trained team with a shared commitment to hospitality excellence. • Lead by example, maintaining a positive work environment and promoting a high standard of service. • Assist in conflict resolution, ensuring staff engagement and motivation are always top-tier. • Ensure staff compliance with safety regulations and maintain a culture of respect and accountability. Cigar Program & Sales Strategy: • Take ownership of humidor maintenance, ensuring proper humidity control and that all equipment is functioning optimally. • Meet cost goals and manage P&L, ensuring profitability through strategic sales, promotions, and inventory control. • Build and maintain strong relationships with cigar vendors and distributors, ensuring the lounge offers a premier selection. • Host public and private events, such as tastings and pairings, creating unique experiences for our guests. • Manage members' humidor lockers and special requests, offering personalized services that go above and beyond. Marketing & Event Planning: • Collaborate with marketing to promote lounge events and partnerships, creating buzz through social media and community engagement. • Plan and execute special events, such as cigar tastings, private gatherings, and exclusive promotions. • Engage with local cigar communities and brand ambassadors to build awareness and elevate our brand. Compliance & Safety: • Ensure staff adhere to all tobacco regulations, health and safety guidelines, and alcohol laws, maintaining a secure environment for guests. • Oversee inventory control and vendor relations to maintain product quality and compliance. Qualifications: • Minimum of 1 year’s experience as a Manager or equivalent in the cigar or luxury hospitality industry. • Deep knowledge of cigars, spirits, and hospitality service standards. • Proven leadership experience with excellent communication and organizational skills. • Ability to multitask and maintain composure in a fast-paced, upscale environment. • Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management, and financial reporting. • Flexibility to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, in a fast-paced environment. • A positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to exceptional service. • Multilingual abilities are a plus. Compensation: $50,000 yearly
