    Abacus is looking to hire a Restaurant General Manager in the Cambridge, MD area.

    Description:

    We are searching for a highly driven individual that is looking to acquire leadership skills and grow within the company. The responsibility of the General Manager is to direct the daily operations of a quick service restaurant. This includes: (a) ensuring company standards in all aspects of the operation are met; (b) inventory management; (c) training, coaching, mentoring and tracking all team members; (d) staffing, recruitment and termination of employees; (e) achieving and exceeding revenue goals; and (f) ensuring the highest quality of products and services are delivered to customers. The General Manager must be willing to take ownership of the team’s operational results, while cultivating a culture of excellence.

    Required Skills:

    • Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to instill a positive work environment with team members. 
    • Ability to be on your feet for 6 hours at a time. 
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. 
    • Ability to delegate responsibilities and multitask. 
    • Organizational skills to handle and manage competing priorities. 
    • Ability to understand and improve monthly financial reports. 

    Responsibilities:

    • Communicate with franchise Operators. 
    • Lead training, hiring and firing of employees. 
    • Ensure corporate framework is being implemented to the highest standards. 
    • Lead and oversee the coordination of Front of House and Back of House operations. 
    • Ensure the restaurant complies with all local, state and federal regulations. 
    • Complete weekly scheduling and ensure all roles are filled. 
    • Develop a culture within the restaurant that attracts new employees and retains customers. 
    • Evaluate financials. Improve labor costs and reduce waste. 

    Customer Experience:

    • Direct interaction with customers to ensure we are delivering the highest possible experience. 
    • Develop and implement drive-thru practices to enhance customer experience and timely service.
    • Ensure the property is maintained and free of trash. 

    Salary:
    $60,000 (possibility for profit sharing)
