    AKIMORI is seeking a General Manager to join our team and community of authentic Japanese sushi. As our GM, you'll manage our Upper East Side sushi restaurant and takeout operations.

    Job Description:

    Portrays excellent customer service and ensures exceptional experiences.

    Ability to communicate with a team of sushi chefs and front of house staff.

    Detail oriented and well-organized.

    Ability to work in a fast paced environment and under pressure.

    Find ways to drive sales and create repeat customers.

    Represent the Akimori brand in a positive way.

    Anticipate the arrival of guests in advance of them dining with us.

    Effectively book and confirm reservations to assure efficient services while getting our guests excited about dining with us.

    Goes above and beyond hospitality and creates a bond with each guest adding a layer to service through creative thinking.

    Ensure the practice of food safety and sanitation standards required of foodservice establishments

    Maintain a safe and secure environment for staff and guests in strict accordance with company standards

    Ability to consistently provide reports relating to sales and operations.

    Provide weekly product inventory and efficiently place product orders as needed.

    Responsible for managing employee schedules.

    Understand and are comfortable with Toast POS and Resy.
