    Description

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to lead our Commercial (C&I) Solar Division to new heights, driving our established business toward its next multi-million-dollar milestone. In this pivotal role, you will enhance the go to market model across Fortune 1000, Municipalities, and SMB segments including expanding our commercial operations and management (O&M) profit center. This role helps ensure diversified revenue streams and elevate our team’s performance to position our Commercial Solar Division as an industry leader.

    Responsibilities

    Financial Oversight: Own the division’s profit and loss (P&L), analyzing pricing, cost of goods sold (COGS), reviewing yearly forecasting, and delivery models to identify opportunities for increased profitability and operational efficiency.

    Innovative Revenue Growth: Develop and execute go-to-market sales and marketing strategies to grow our core three segments - Fortune 1000, MUSH (i.e. Municipalities, Universities, Schools, and Hospitals), and SMB (i.e. Small and Medium Businesses)

    Team Leadership and Development: As an inspirational player-coach and member of the executive team, recruit, train, and mentor department leaders and teams. Foster a culture of accountability and growth to solidify the foundation for scalability.

    Sales and Marketing: Partner with our marketing group to drive growth through deeper market penetration, referral networks, and brand positioning as the premier Commercial solar provider in the Southeast.

    Process Optimization: Streamline the end-to-end commercial process—from initial customer contact to service completion and payment—ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and an exceptional customer experience.

    Risk Management and Compliance: Establish and enforce internal processes, checkpoints, and controls to ensure effective service delivery and safeguard company assets while laying the groundwork for sustainable growth.

    Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and enhance divisional performance. Collaborate with the executive team to align KPIs across departments and support company-wide growth objectives.

    Qualifications

    Profit and Loss management experience with a growth mindset

    Strong Interpersonal Communication, Leadership & Influence Skills

    Team Player, Coach, Developer of People

    Managing and enhancing service delivery processes.

    Must have experience with Commercial EPC

    Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements

    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in commercial construction, Commercial Solar, and Commercial Energy Storage

    Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in C&I Solar

    Ideally, one of the following: a licensed General Contractor, a licensed Electrician, or a licensed PE

    2-4 years of Energy Storage Experience
