General Manager – Asset-Based Trucking (Confidential)

We’re retained on a confidential search for a General Manager to lead and scale an asset-based trucking operation backed by long-term capital and meaningful contracted volume. This is a hands-on “mini-CEO” seat — not a broad logistics role.

You’ll own P&L, fleet performance, dispatch structure, driver management, and safety/compliance (DOT/FMCSA). The right leader has built or scaled carrier operations in a high-urgency environment and can quickly install the operating rhythm, metrics, and team structure needed to drive utilization, service reliability, and profitable growth.

We’re looking for someone who can speak in numbers — CPM/RPM, utilization, empty miles, OR, service metrics, claims — and who communicates proactively at the exec level without being chased.

Compensation: up to $250K base \+ performance bonus + benefits
Location: Los Angeles South Bay (on-site most days; flexibility case-by-case)

Minimum requirements

• Senior leadership in an asset-based carrier (not brokerage-only)
• Direct ownership of dispatch + drivers and a safety/compliance function
• Track record of scaling or materially improving trucking performance (quantifiable)
• Strong command of fleet economics and operating KPIs
• High-ownership, startup-paced execution style
