General Manager — Aerospace Manufacturing

We’re searching for a high-energy, visionary General Manager to take the helm of our aerospace composites manufacturing site in Erlanger, Kentucky. If you thrive on building teams, scaling operations, and delivering game-changing results—this is your moment!
🔥 What You’ll Own
Operational Leadership
- Oversee all plant operations including production, quality, maintenance, supply chain, and safety.
- Develop and execute operational plans to meet business objectives, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.
- Ensure production schedules are met with optimal resource utilization and minimal waste.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Financial Management
- Full P&L accountability. Lead the preparation and management of the plant budget, monitor expenses, and implement cost control measures.
- Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive operational improvements.
- Ensure profitability targets are achieved while maintaining quality and delivery standards.
- $40 million revenue generated
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with aerospace industry standards such as AS9100, FAA regulations, and NADCAP certifications.
- Lead quality assurance initiatives to maintain product integrity and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee audit readiness and coordinate with regulatory agencies and customers.
Safety & Environmental Stewardship
- Promote a strong safety culture with zero tolerance for unsafe behaviors.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Implement programs to reduce workplace incidents and environmental impact.
People Leadership & Development
- Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing management team and workforce.
- Foster employee engagement, communication, and teamwork across all levels.
- Ensure training and development programs are created and utilized to build skills and succession pipelines.
- Collaborate with leadership in ensuring positive employee relations and maintaining a union-free workplace.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary liaison with corporate leadership, customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Drive customer satisfaction through responsiveness and quality delivery.
- Communicate plant performance, challenges, and opportunities to executive management.
đź’ˇ Who You Are
- A bold, decisive leader with 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in aerospace manufacturing or a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA preferred.
- Financially savvy, operationally disciplined, and customer-obsessed.
- Proven track record of managing manufacturing operations with 200+ employees preferred.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards (AS9100, NADCAP) and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational excellence methodologies.
- Ability to manage multi-site operations and cross-functional teams.
- Strong presentation skills, specifically with customers and/or Board of Director level
- Track record of building and maintaining customer/client relationships
- Ability to work independently and prioritize duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines
- Ability to develop strategic plans to grow the business
