This Michelin-starred Japanese restaurant group, based in Manhattan, New York City, is seeking an experienced and strategic General Manager to join its leadership team.
This is a group-level hire rather than a placement at a specific location. Final brand and restaurant assignment will be determined through the interview process, based on each candidate’s experience, leadership style, and overall fit.
The group currently operates multiple high-end concepts in New York and has plans for future expansion into Europe. We welcome professionals who are interested in building a long-term career within an internationally growing hospitality organization.
<Job Description>
Oversee full restaurant operations, including revenue, cost control, and KPI management
Maintain and elevate service standards in alignment with Michelin-level expectations
Lead recruitment, training, development, and performance management of staff
Collaborate closely with culinary and beverage teams to ensure cohesive operations
Drive guest satisfaction, retention strategies, and brand loyalty
Partner with ownership and executive leadership on strategic initiatives
Participate in future growth projects, including potential international expansion
Final placement will be determined through the interview process.
<Qualification> Required
Management experience in fine-dining or luxury hospitality environments
Proven experience in financial and operational oversight
Business-level English proficiency

Understanding of Japanese cuisine and hospitality culture
Knowledge of wine and sake programs
Experience managing multicultural teams
Interest in future opportunities within European locations
Japanese language proficiency is not required.
