    Summary:

    This leadership role may be based remotely, with periodic travel required to the Providence office to support strategic and operational priorities. The General Manager will lead the Rhode Island subsidiary, overseeing strategic planning, team building and operational execution of the ED program. Reporting directly to the venture studio (HQ) in California, this role requires a proven track record of securing capital from investors or other funding sources and ensuring all business activities are executed efficiently and cost-effectively.


    Principal Tasks & Responsibilities:

    • Secure investor financing, ensure sustainable cash flow and identify strategic partnerships.
    • Establish and lead a high-performing local team with support from HQ to achieve strategic and operational goals.
    • Translate the company’s business vision and strategy into clear, actionable plans that drive growth.
    • Oversee program operations, timelines, resource allocation and budget (cash flow and P&L).
    • Foster strong team alignment through clear leadership and effective communication.
    • Drive a results-driven and adaptable culture focused on innovation, quality and performance.
    • Maintain strategic awareness/knowledge of competitive technologies, market dynamics and emerging developments in the vascular and biomedical sectors.

     

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    • BS in Life Sciences; higher degree preferred.

    Experience:

    • 15+ years of relevant experience in the MedTech industry (implantable, vascular or neurovascular preferred), including at least 7 years in management roles.
    • Proven leadership and team-building abilities in early-stage startups and R&D projects.
    • Strong expertise in vascular devices, especially in product development and product management.
    • Proven success in fundraising, with experience raising capital through diverse networks.
