About the Role
We’re looking for a licensed General Manager to lead a growing residential and light commercial HVAC business based out of Norwalk, CT. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for daily operations, financial performance, and team success. The GM runs the business like an owner — driving results, building culture, and ensuring every customer experience meets the highest standards.
Note: An active Connecticut S1 HVAC license is required for this position
What You’ll Do
· Own the P&L: Hit revenue, gross margin, and profitability goals
· Run operations: Oversee dispatch, scheduling, inventory, and fleet management. Improve systems and eliminate bottlenecks
· Lead the team: Recruit, train, and motivate technicians and office staff; hold everyone accountable to results and standards
· Deliver excellence: Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and at the quality customers expect.
· Track performance: Monitor KPIs like booked calls, conversion rate, average ticket, technician efficiency, and customer satisfaction
· Partner with ownership: Report on results, forecast performance, and develop growth plans.
· Promote the brand: Represent the business in the community with professionalism and integrity. Build customer loyalty and referrals
Who You Are
· Active Connecticut S1 HVAC Contractor License preferred
· 8+ years of experience in residential HVAC, plumbing, or other home services
· 5+ years managing people, operations, and budgets
· Proven track record of hitting revenue and margin goals
· Comfortable leading both field and office teams
· Strong problem-solver who thrives on accountability and continuous improvement
· Tech-savvy (ServiceTitan or similar software experience a plus)
· EPA certification and bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
