    Overview

    We are conducting a confidential search for a hands-on General Manager to lead operations at a boutique hospitality property located in Northern California, within driving distance of Redding.

    This is a unique opportunity for a hospitality leader to step into a high-potential operation and play a direct role in elevating both the guest experience and overall business performance.

    The role offers full operational authority and is best suited for someone who thrives in a high-touch, service-driven environment and is motivated by the opportunity to build, improve, and grow a business over time.

    • The property currently operates with a seasonal cadence, including a slower off-season
    • During the off-season, the schedule allows for 3 days off per week

    Key Responsibilities

    Operational Leadership

    • Oversee full resort operations including lodging and food & beverage
    • Lead scheduling, staffing, hiring, and performance management
    • Maintain high service standards across all guest-facing functions

    Team Development & Culture

      • Train and develop staff to improve service consistency and execution
      • Establish a strong, service-driven team culture
      • Lead from the front in a highly hands-on environment

    Revenue Growth & Guest Experience

      • Drive revenue through upselling initiatives and guest engagement
      • Improve guest satisfaction and repeat business
      • Identify opportunities to increase occupancy and on-site spend

    Marketing & Business Growth

      • Contribute to social media presence and local marketing efforts
      • Support promotional campaigns and seasonal initiatives
      • Assist in developing events and group booking opportunities

    Guest Operations & Innkeeping

      • Oversee reservations, check-in/check-out, and guest relations
      • Ensure property standards are consistently met or exceeded
      • Manage inventory, supplies, and operational readiness

    Ideal Candidate Profile

    • 5–10+ years of hospitality leadership experience
    • Background in upscale restaurants, boutique hotels, or resort environments
    • Proven ability to train teams, improve guest experience, and drive revenue
    • Strong hands-on leadership style
    • Experience with marketing and social media is highly valued
    • Willingness to relocate to a remote, lifestyle-oriented setting
