Not quite ready for GM yet? We’re also looking for motivated leaders at every level—Shift Leaders and Assistant Managers—with a clear path to grow into a GM role. Wherever you start, we’ll match your experience with the right position and provide the training to help you advance.

What You’ll Do as a GM

Oversee all aspects of store operations including staffing, scheduling, training, inventory, and financial performance

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team including assistant managers and shift leaders

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards

Drive sales growth and operational efficiency

Handle customer service issues with professionalism and care

Manage budgeting, labor costs, and ordering

Represent the store as a leader in the community

Training & Development

Becoming a fully independent General Manager at Jersey Mike’s involves comprehensive training (8–16 weeks), including:

Learning every position in the store and managing during peak hours

Training on inventory, scheduling, and back-of-house operations

Participating in Jersey Mike’s 3-phase management program

Completing a one-week intensive training session in New Jersey

This phased approach ensures every leader—whether you’re starting as a Shift Leader, Assistant Manager, or GM—gains the confidence and skills to succeed.

Qualifications

Proven leadership and management experience in food service or retail preferred

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to inspire a team and manage multiple priorities

Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights and weekends

Commitment to Jersey Mike’s values of quality, service, and teamwork

6 months of food service, retail, or customer service experience preferred but not required.
