    About KidStrong: KidStrong is a milestone accelerator for kids 15 months–11 years old. Our science-based, coach-led programs help kids build Strong Minds, Strong Bodies, and Strong Character through a proven curriculum designed by child development experts.

    We are opening soon in Mayfaire Town Center, Wilmington, NC, and we are looking for an exceptional General Manager (GM) to lead our team, build our community, and deliver an amazing experience for kids and families.

    Role Overview

    The General Manager (GM) is the leader of the KidStrong center, responsible for creating a culture of learning, growth, and community for both the team and the families we serve. As GM, you’ll define goals, develop and mentor your coaching team, build strong relationships with members, and deliver key business results including sales growth, member retention, and operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities

    Center Operations

    Oversee daily operations, ensuring a safe, clean, and inspiring environment for kids and families.

    Understand center KPIs and financials to make informed, responsible business decisions.

    Build and maintain strong relationships with KidStrong families aligned with our core values.

    Manage and delegate daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance tasks.

    Set and communicate coach schedules; manage center-level employee issues and documentation.

    Schedule, promote, and sell KidStrong events (camps, parties) to maximize center profitability.

    Sales & Growth

    Lead and delegate sales efforts, including lead management, call drives, trial conversions, and event bookings.

    Finalize sales and manage online self-sign-ups.

    Attend and represent KidStrong at local events to increase brand awareness and generate leads.

    Leadership & Team Development

    Recruit, onboard, train, and evaluate coaching staff.

    Foster a coaching culture and mentor your team using KidStrong’s Coach DNA profile.

    Conduct regular staff meetings focused on development, programming, and performance.

    Support ongoing staff professional development through LearnUpon.

    Communicate effectively with staff using Slack, email, and in-person leadership.

    Coaching (as needed)

    Coach approximately 4–5 hours per week, delivering our curriculum focused on Brain, Physical, and Character development.

    Engage with students and families before, during, and after classes.

    Use the KidStrong Coaches App to record attendance, awards, and performance data.

    What We’re Looking For

    Experience: Prior management experience required; background in athletics, coaching, or working with children ages 15 months–11 years strongly preferred.

    Education & Training: Willingness to complete Coach Certification and ongoing KidStrong training.

    Skills: Excellent communication, team leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

    Other: CPR certification required (or ability to obtain); comfort with Google/Microsoft platforms; familiarity with ZenPlanner, LearnUpon, ADP, and FranConnect is a plus.

    Schedule & Reporting

    Typical schedule: 4 weekdays + 1 weekend shift (hours based on center needs).

    Reports to: Owners.

    Supervises: Assistant GM, Lead Coach, and Coaches.

    Hours,Compensation & Benefits

    Starting Compensation: $45,000/year base + performance year long bonus incentives

    PreOpening Bonus potential : Total potential bonus range: $2,500 – $7,500

    Quarterly performance bonus review

    Hours: 42–45 hours/week (including nights & weekends)

    Unlimited vacation/sick days (with approval)
