General Manager - KidsUnited
Compensation: $60,000 Base Salary + Quarterly Performance Bonus (Target: $15,000+ Annually). Schedule: Full-Time | Includes Evenings & Weekends
About the Role
KidsUnited is seeking a high-energy, results-driven General Manager to lead membership growth, team development, community engagement, and day-to-day club operations.
This is a sales-focused leadership role ideal for someone with proven membership sales experience, strong leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional experiences for children and families. The ideal candidate understands how to drive growth through sales, community relationships, and local marketing initiatives.
The General Manager will work closely with the ownership group and KidsUnited corporate team (Franchisor) to execute proven sales, marketing, operational, and staffing strategies. This is a highly supported leadership role with ongoing collaboration, coaching, and resources to help ensure success.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Growth & Business Development
Drive membership growth, revenue performance, and member retention.
Manage leads, sales activities, and key performance metrics.
Build relationships with local schools, businesses, and community organizations to increase brand awareness and membership growth.
Serve as a local ambassador for the KidsUnited brand.
Team Leadership & Development
Train and develop coaches and front-desk staff.
Foster a positive, energetic, and family-focused culture.
Coach team members to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Ensure programs and classes are delivered to KidsUnited standards.
Marketing & Community Engagement
Partner with ownership and marketing resources to support local marketing initiatives.
Provide oversight and accountability for community engagement and social media efforts.
Support events, promotions, partnerships, and outreach activities that drive awareness and membership growth.
Customer Experience & Operations
Deliver an exceptional experience for children and families.
Build strong relationships with members and prospective members.
Oversee daily club operations, staffing, and facility standards.
Ensure compliance with KidsUnited processes and expectations.
Required Qualifications
Membership sales experience required.
Experience owning sales goals and revenue targets.
Understanding of marketing, lead generation, and social media engagement.
Experience managing KPIs and performance metrics.
Previous leadership and team development experience.
Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
High-energy, hands-on, results-driven leadership style.
Preferred Experience
Soccer background – Any personal or professional experience with soccer is a plus.
Coaching or early childhood education – Experience working with kids in a coaching or teaching setting is highly valued, especially with ages 1.5–9.
