Position Overview:

SVC Engineering is seeking a highly experienced General Manager to lead its metallurgical operations. The GM will be responsible for overseeing plant operations, ensuring process efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and driving strategic growth. This is a key leadership role reporting directly to the Managing Director/CEO.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee end-to-end plant operations, including production, quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain.

Lead metallurgical process optimization for alloys like Aluminium & Zinc, and other engineered components.

Drive operational excellence through implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure all processes comply with statutory, environmental, and industry-specific standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001).

Collaborate with Sales and business development teams to support product development and customization.

Manage vendor relationships, raw material procurement, and logistics.

Build and lead a high-performing operations team through training, mentorship, and clear leadership.

Candidate Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 15 years of industry experience in metallurgical or engineering manufacturing environments.

At least 5 years in a senior leadership or general management role.

Strong understanding of metallurgical production processes, including forging, casting, heat treatment, and fabrication.

Proven ability to manage diverse teams, budgets, and cross-functional operations.

Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills. Represent company in expositions.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or Executive Program in Business/Operations Management.

Experience working with defense or export-oriented manufacturing preferred.

Exposure to international quality and compliance standards.
