About The Company
The company is a high-growth, culture-forward workplace services provider helping top employers elevate their employee experience through premium food, beverage, and office hospitality. With $13M in revenue and plans to scale to $100M across 20 markets, we're launching our New York market and looking for a gritty, high-ownership General Manager to take the reins and build something real.
The Opportunity
This is not a cushy GM role with a large team on day one — it’s a builder’s job for someone who thrives in ambiguity, rolls up their sleeves, and builds from the ground up. You’ll lead our New York launch out of our North Bergen warehouse, managing both early-morning delivery operations and client relationships, while scaling your own team and owning P&L.
You’ll have support from HQ for sales, marketing, and back office functions — your job is to own operations and retention, execute the playbook, and keep clients delighted.
What You’ll Do
Operational Ownership & Client ServiceLead the market launch and daily ops from midnight to noon (delivery-focused)
Own the local P&L and drive profitability through smart labor and cost controls
Deliver exceptional service that drives retention and word-of-mouth growth
Handle equipment installs, route planning, and problem-solving in real-time
Hire, manage, and develop your local team (starting with 1 FTE; scaling to 60+)
Lead by example — expect to get hands-on, especially in the first year
Develop SOPs, training, and quality standards aligned to company benchmarks
Partner with HQ to grow client base and adapt the company playbook to NYC
Balance lean operating tactics with excellent service standards
Manage dual shifts (overnight + morning) as the client base scales
You’d Be a Great Fit If You Have:
5–10+ years of relevant work experience, including small-unit leadership
Post-military experience preferred; JMO or NCO with civilian ops experience ideal
Strong operational planning skills — proactive, detail-driven, and decisive
Ability to lift and move equipment (e.g., fridges, cases, coffee machines)
Hands-on, no-ego leadership style; willing to solve any tough problem when needed
Familiarity with NYC/North Jersey logistics preferred — local candidates only
Comfortable with high-ownership, high-pressure startup environments
Mechanically inclined and comfortable solving logistical and technical problems
Bonus Points For:
Experience in food/beverage, office services, or delivery-based ops
Past work with Aramark, Canteen, Corporate Essentials, or similar
Familiarity with GSuite, spreadsheets, and light data interpretation
Culture Index profile: Integrator | Tech Expert | Architect | Enterpriser
Marine or Army Infantry Officer background highly valued
