    Job Summary

    The General Manager (GM) serves as the operational and technical leader of Mosquito Joe, reporting directly to the Owner. This role is responsible for overseeing daily operations, driving revenue growth, managing field teams, and ensuring exceptional customer service while maintaining strict compliance with pest control industry regulations and franchise standards.

    The ideal candidate brings strong pest management experience, technical knowledge of pest biology and treatment methods, leadership capability, and a passion for building high-performing teams.

    This position combines strategic leadership, hands-on operational oversight, and customer engagement to ensure service excellence and business growth.

    Key Responsibilities

    Operational Leadership

    Oversee daily field operations including mosquito control, pest control services, barrier treatments, and related services.

    Lead daily team huddles and provide direction to technicians and office staff.

    Ensure efficient routing, scheduling, and service execution.

    Maintain quality assurance standards and conduct field audits.

    Enforce safety procedures and regulatory compliance (state pesticide regulations, licensing, PPE standards).

    Technical Pest Management

    Provide leadership and guidance on pest identification, treatment strategies, and best practices.

    Ensure proper application techniques, calibration, and chemical usage.

    Maintain compliance with pesticide labeling and industry regulations.

    Train and mentor technicians on pest biology, treatment protocols, and customer education.

    Stay current on industry trends, integrated pest management (IPM), and product advancements.

    Customer Experience & Sales

    Meet with customers to assess pest issues and recommend solutions.

    Support estimating, quoting, and closing service opportunities.

    Build relationships with residential and commercial clients.

    Resolve escalated service concerns professionally and efficiently.

    Support marketing initiatives and local networking opportunities.

    Team Leadership & Development

    Hire, train, coach, and develop technicians and team members.

    Create accountability systems and performance metrics.

    Foster a positive, professional culture aligned with company core values.

    Provide ongoing feedback and conduct performance reviews.

    Financial & Administrative Oversight

    Monitor KPIs including production efficiency, revenue, retention, and profitability.

    Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.

    Ensure accurate documentation and recordkeeping.

    Manage inventory and equipment.

    Qualifications

    Experience in pest control or related field required

    Pest control license required. Do not apply if you do not currently have licensing.

    Strong understanding of pest biology, treatment protocols, and safety standards.

    Proven leadership and team management experience.

    Excellent communication and customer service skills.

    Ability to work both in-field and in-office.

    Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
