General Manager, Industrial Services
Position Overview
Lead and grow a high-performing industrial services division with responsibility for operations, safety, financial performance, customer satisfaction, and strategic growth across domestic and international markets. This executive leadership role drives operational excellence, profitability, innovation, and team development while ensuring the highest standards of safety and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership
- Provide strategic oversight for all industrial services operations, assets, and personnel.
- Establish and execute business objectives aligned with company goals.
- Ensure seamless coordination across engineering, fabrication, installation, rental, maintenance, and field service teams.
Safety & Compliance
- Champion a culture where safety is the top priority.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, industry, customer, and company safety standards.
- Partner with safety teams to identify training, equipment, and operational improvement opportunities.
Business Growth & Customer Success
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and industry partners.
- Support and mentor sales teams to identify growth opportunities and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
- Drive market expansion through industry knowledge, innovation, and customer-focused solutions.
Financial & Asset Management
- Own divisional profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Improve operational efficiencies and asset utilization to maximize returns.
- Oversee equipment acquisition, maintenance, lifecycle management, and capital planning.
Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop management teams across multiple locations.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Promote employee engagement, recognition, and professional growth.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Chemistry, Geology, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Experience
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience, preferably within oil & gas, industrial services, or related sectors.
- Proven success leading large-scale operations, driving profitability, and managing cross-functional teams.
Skills & Expertise
- Deep knowledge of oil & gas operations, flare systems, industry regulations, and safety requirements.
- Strong business acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and operational performance management.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong analytical capabilities.
