We are passionate about the creation of our menus, where our food comes from, and most importantly, we’re passionate about our people and the hospitality we show to our clients, our vendors and each other. We are currently seeking qualified individuals who will add a positive impact to our team and help shape our future.

About the role We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented and driven General Manager to join the Savory Hospitality team at one of our business dining locations. Our business dining locations are one of our unique service offerings that provide the full Savory team member experience, as well as the opportunity to work directly with our onsite clients on a daily basis. Here are some examples of the primary responsibilities of our onsite General Manager:

Lead team scheduling, manage time cards and ensure compliance with labor and overtime policies

Maintain inventory of pantry, beverages and supplies and coordinate equipment maintenance as needed

Manage vendor relationships to ensure quality service and cost-effective pricing

Process and confirm client catering requests; ensure accurate setup and service

Collaborate with the client’s hospitality team to meet and exceed service expectations

Recruit, train and manage all members of the onsite team

Track progress on operational goals and communicate updates to Savory leadership

Ensure adherence to health, safety and food handling regulations

Act as Savory’s onsite leadership representative—proactively problem-solving and escalating issues as needed

Uphold Savory’s hospitality standards across guest and team interactions

What we’re looking for At Savory, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We’re a tight-knit team of passionate and innovative professionals who strive to live our values every day: authenticity, curiosity, collaboration, solutions, and community.

Your experience should show us the following:

Proven experience in budget management, planning, and oversight

Success in delegating and prioritizing to maximize the operation’s efficiency

Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on Excel and Word. Restaurant365 and/or Flex Catering experience is a plus!

Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills

Demonstrated ability to train, manage, and supervise a diverse team with understanding of general labor laws and best practices

    Effective problem-solving and mediation skills

    Job requirements

NY Food Handler’s Certification, or willingness to obtain one within one month of hire

Standing and walking for the majority of daily working hours

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Willingness to work a flexible schedule daytime Monday – Friday and occasionally nights.

What We Offer In addition to a growth-focused, positive work environment, our talented team enjoys:

Company-sponsored medical plans, including health, dental, and vision coverage
