Taste Buds Kitchen is opening its second location in Rhode Island. We provide culinary entertainment to kids, families, and adults in a fun, beautiful, and state-of-the-art Kitchen Studio. Kids ages 2 to teen love our hands-on cooking classes, camps, birthday parties, and field trips. Adults love our BYOB date night cooking classes, birthday parties, bachelorettes, showers, and corporate events. Our innovative programs are as entertaining as they are educational! We always strive to engage and delight our guests. We currently have a location in East Greenwich and are expanding to Providence.

We are looking for a General Manager to play a critical role in the success of Taste Buds Kitchen! You will have the skills and experience to drive sales, manage the day-to-day operations and staff in our Kitchen, create an exceptional client experience and be a natural leader. This is the perfect opportunity to interact with clients on a daily basis to create a supportive and meaningful community.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & HR
Work with the Owner to recruit, hire, train, and schedule a motivated team of Kitchen Assistants, Hosts, and Culinary Instructors.
Foster a positive work culture and facilitate staff development.
Act as the primary point of contact for the team and handle any staffing emergencies.
Operations & Quality Control
Oversee daily studio operations to ensure all classes, events, and facilities meet Taste Buds Kitchen’s high brand standards
Maintain a pristine facility, ensuring high cleanliness and safety standards are met at all times.
Streamline systems to improve efficiency and workflow.
Manage inventory, food costs, and spending to ensure profitability.
Sales & Marketing
Respond to client inquiries and manage bookings to meet monthly sales goals.
Work with the owner to execute marketing campaigns and maintain a positive, engaging social media presence.
Network within the community to build brand awareness and drive private event sales.
Culinary Instruction (Hands-On)
Be ready to jump in! You will instruct cooking classes, camps, and parties for ages 2–99 as needed.
Engage guests with enthusiasm, teaching various cooking and baking techniques while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Serve as the role model for what a premier Culinary Instructor looks like.
Qualifications
Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a management position (food or hospitality).
Availability: Must have open availability, including nights and weekends, as we are an event-based business hosting events 7 days a week. You will be asked to work 40 hours per week.
Skills: Strong customer service, sales, and organizational skills.
Culinary: Comfortable with a range of cooking techniques. Formal culinary education is a plus, but a passion for food and cooking is a must!
Education: A food-related or management degree is a plus.
Personality: You must enjoy the fast-paced atmosphere of a small business and love working with people of all ages (from toddlers to corporate professionals).
