The Joint Sushi & Tapas in Ocean Beach is looking for an experienced, hospitality-driven General Manager to lead one of the best teams in the business.
We are a high-volume, scratch-made sushi and tapas restaurant known for excellent food, craft cocktails, sake, craft beer, and genuine hospitality in a casual San Diego beach environment.
We are looking for a strong leader who understands that hospitality is about the guest experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about driving sales, maintaining high service standards, coaching staff, scheduling efficiently, controlling labor costs, and keeping operations running smoothly.
We want a GM who is comfortable touching tables, interacting with guests, and building long-lasting customer relationships through genuine hospitality and service.
Responsibilities include:
FOH leadership and daily operations Staff training, scheduling, and accountability Maintaining cleanliness and organization Upholding steps of service and hospitality standards Labor controls and smart staffing adjustments during slower shifts Guest relations and problem solving Working some weekends and closing shifts.
Qualifications:
Previous restaurant GM experience preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Experience with scheduling and labor management Knowledge of wine, sake, craft cocktails, and craft beer Sushi knowledge preferred, but not required Toast POS experience is a plus

Competitive salary DOE ($85K+) Two weeks paid vacation 401(k)
