    Position Overview

    The Vice President / General Manager will have full responsibility for the business's operational performance, strategic direction, and financial success. This leader will work closely with senior leadership to identify growth opportunities, improve profitability, and ensure the organization is positioned for long-term success.

    Key Areas of Focus

    Strategic Planning & Execution
    • Develop and execute strategic plans that support business growth and operational excellence.
    • Establish clear organizational priorities and ensure alignment across all departments.
    • Identify opportunities for market expansion, operational improvements, and competitive advantage.
    • Lead key initiatives from concept through implementation and execution.
    • Drive continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization.
    Leadership & Organizational Alignment
    • Build strong relationships throughout the organization and create alignment around company goals.
    • Develop, mentor, and empower leaders and teams to achieve results.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and engagement.
    • Serve as a visible and influential leader who can gain buy-in and motivate others to execute.
    Profitability & Financial Performance
    • Drive overall business profitability and financial performance.
    • Analyze operational and financial metrics to identify opportunities for increased margins and efficiency.
    • Implement performance measures and accountability systems to improve results.
    • Partner with operational leaders to optimize productivity, cost management, and resource utilization.
    • Make data-driven decisions that support sustainable growth and profitability.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
    • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
    • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and driving organizational performance.
    • Strong strategic planning and execution capabilities.
    • Proven track record of improving profitability and business performance.
    • Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.

    Highly Preferred

    • Significant experience within the metals manufacturing industry.
    • Previous P&L responsibility for a manufacturing facility, division, or business unit.
    • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma initiatives.
