    Position Summary

    The General Manager leads all aspects of restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, strong financial performance, and a positive team culture.

    This role requires a hands-on leader who can coach managers, develop future leaders, drive community engagement (Spirit Nights, fundraisers, local events), and maintain operational excellence.

    Key Responsibilities

    Guest Experience

    Deliver outstanding hospitality every shift

    Ensure restaurant cleanliness, food quality, and service standards

    Maintain strong product knowledge (yes, pancakes and pies included!)

    Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally

    Team Leadership & Development

    Recruit, train, and coach managers and team members

    Build depth charts and succession plans

    Conduct performance reviews and leadership development plans

    Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture

    Operations & Financial Management

    Manage labor, food cost, and controllable expenses

    Drive sales through local marketing and community partnerships

    Ensure compliance with health, safety, HR, and brand standards

    Maintain accurate reporting and operational metrics

    Community Engagement

    Lead Spirit Nights, school partnerships, and fundraising events

    Represent Village Inn in the local community

    Build relationships with guests, vendors, and neighbors

    What We’re Looking For

    2+ years restaurant management experience (GM or Assistant GM preferred)

    Strong leadership and coaching skills

    Financial acumen and operational discipline

    Passion for hospitality and community involvement

    Ability to lead in a fast-paced environment
