    General Manager – Residential Electrical

    Location: Glenside / Philadelphia / Jenkintown, PA

    Mister Sparky Electric is one of North America’s leading residential electrical service brands. Built on safety, integrity, service excellence, and operational discipline, we combine a proven national system with strong local ownership. We are launching a new franchise location to serve Greater Philadelphia — and we’re looking for a General Manager to build and scale this operation from day one.

    About This Role

    This is a startup build with a proven national brand behind it. We are looking for a GM who knows how to:

    Build and scale a service operation

    Drive revenue & protect margin

    Lead field technicians

    Own the numbers

    This is a true P&L leadership role with authority & accountability.

    Who Is the Best Fit?

    A former Military Officer or Senior NCO who led teams under pressure and understands accountability & budgeting

    A Trades Leader (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing) who has run service teams

    A Service or Operations GM who has directly owned revenue, margin, & labor efficiency

    An operator who understands service pricing, technician productivity, & cost control

    What You’ll Own(Responsibilities)

    Customer Experience

    Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and long-term trust

    Manage online reputation and customer feedback

    Enforce company and franchise brand standards

    Operations

    Drive daily operational execution and scheduling efficiency

    Ensure safety compliance and quality standards

    Understanding and executing current year and multi year strategy

    Monitor KPIs, call insights, coaching feedback, and performance dashboards

    Team Leadership

    Recruit, hire, and develop a high-performing team

    Establish accountability and performance standards

    Build a professional, safety-focused culture

    Financial Performance

    P&L ownership

    Manage budgets, labor efficiency, and margins

    Execute quarterly and annual growth plans

    Growth & Development

    Partner with ownership on marketing initiatives

    Improve lead conversion and operational systems

    Assist in scaling operations

    Qualifications

    Required

    3+ years leadership experience in service or operations environments ( Operations Manager, GM, Assistant GM, trades leadership, or military leadership)

    Experience managing teams with measurable performance goals

    Strong financial acumen with P&L and KPI knowledge

    High accountability and professional leadership presence

    Growth mindset and ability to collaborate effectively with ownership

    Directly owned a P&L exceeding $3M annual revenue or managed Operations over 2M$ budget

    Preferred

    Home services, construction, or trades background

    Franchise or ServiceTitan experience

    Direct P&L ownership experience

    Local Networking with HOA, Small Business, Retail Owners, Local Community Ties

    Compensation & Benefits

    Base Salary: $85,000 – $100,000

    Former Military Officers (O-3/O-4 Company Commanders, Operations Officers) and Senior NCOs (E-7/E-8/E-9) with leadership, budget, and personnel accountability experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

    Work Environment: This role requires regular presence in office and field environments. The General Manager will operate in professional office settings and residential job sites consistent with electrical service operations.
