General Manufacturing Press Machine Set Up and Operator Job Description
Job core responsibilities and desired skillset
· Setting up, operating and maintaining press machinery.
· Monitor production runs to ensure accuracy and consistency.
· Troubleshoot problems and perform cleaning and some maintenance.
· Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
· Adhere to safety protocols.
· Use mathematical and mechanical skills to monitor production and make necessary adjustments.
· Use specialized tools for measuring and testing equipment to measure, test and evaluate product reliability and outputs.
· Collaborating with teams with other departments to enhance the overall quality and safety of process.
· Preparations of reports, inspection findings, documenting outcomes and some filing.
· Multitasking, attention to detail and accuracy is a must.
· Experience with quality standards, expectations and understanding of calibrated equipment.
· Experience with measurement tools including scales, gages and micrometers.
· Basic knowledge of technical drawings and prints.
· Must be able to lift at least 25lbs.
· Must be able to handle very small parts sometimes measuring less than 1mm.
Education
· Highschool diploma or equivalent
Shift
· First shift 7:00am-3:30pm
· Ability to work occasional overtime running into 2nd shift, evenings and possibly weekends
Salary & Benefits
· $20-$23 hour based on experience
