Superintendent (2 Openings)

Compensation: $140,000 – $170,000+ DOE

Position Overview

A highly respected commercial general contractor is actively seeking two experienced Superintendents to support large-scale, high-profile construction projects in the Reno market. These are critical leadership positions responsible for driving field operations, maintaining project schedules, and ensuring successful project execution from groundbreaking through completion.

Candidates with arena, hospitality, large-scale commercial, or complex construction experience are highly preferred. This role offers strong visibility within the organization and the opportunity to contribute to landmark projects in Northern Nevada.

Reno-based candidates or individuals willing to relocate are strongly preferred. Per diem may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all onsite construction operations from project startup through final completion
• Manage daily field activities, including supervision of self-perform crews and subcontractors
• Coordinate and direct field teams consisting of up to 300 personnel onsite
• Ensure projects remain on schedule, within budget, and aligned with quality standards
• Conduct and lead subcontractor meetings focused on scheduling, safety, logistics, and project performance
• Monitor project progress and proactively identify potential risks, delays, and conflicts
• Review and coordinate RFIs, change orders, submittals, and field documentation
• Partner closely with Project Managers and leadership teams to maintain project alignment and execution
• Maintain professional relationships with owners, inspectors, architects, and public agencies
• Enforce safety protocols, OSHA compliance, and company quality standards
• Track production for self-performed scopes and monitor labor productivity
• Support project closeout activities, punch lists, turnover documentation, and final inspections

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent with a Commercial General Contractor
• Proven success managing large-scale commercial construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and field coordination
• Experience managing multiple trades and large subcontractor teams
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore
• Ability to lead high-performing field teams in fast-paced environments
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of self-perform concrete operations is a plus
• Must be local to Reno or willing to relocate
