    Job Summary:

    The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for a variety of tasks within the warehouse to ensure the efficient receiving, storing, and distribution of goods. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to follow safety procedures, and the physical capability to handle materials and products.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Receiving and Inspecting Deliveries: Unload incoming shipments, check items for damage, and verify the accuracy of orders.

    • Inventory Management: Store products in proper locations and maintain an organized inventory system. Perform regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.

    • Order Picking and Packing: Select and pack products according to customer orders or stock requirements, ensuring accuracy and quality.

    • Shipping: Prepare shipments for delivery by labeling, packaging, and loading onto delivery vehicles.

    • Material Handling: Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move and organize goods.

    • Warehouse Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse, including performing routine cleaning tasks.

    • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment, including proper handling of materials and equipment.

    • Other Duties: Perform other warehouse-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.

    • Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required.

    • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations (e.g., order picking, shipping/receiving, inventory).

    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

    • Good communication and teamwork skills.

    • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) is a plus.

    • Basic computer skills for inventory tracking (e.g., use of barcode scanners or warehouse management software).

    Physical Demands:

    • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

    • Ability to lift heavy packages typically up to 50 lbs regularly.

    Work Environment:

    • Warehouse environment with varying temperatures (depending on season and location).

    • May involve working around moving machinery and equipment.
