SEEKING: DATA ARCHITECT TO JOIN OUR TEAM!
Genesis Capital is interested in hiring an experienced Data Architect to work closely with our Data team and application development teams to recommend database structures based on the data storage and retrieval needs within each department. The Data Architect will be responsible for constantly monitoring our database and immediately addressing database issues and problems. This position will support and help in expanding and optimizing the firm databases, data pipeline architecture and data warehouse centralization. The ideal candidate is someone who enjoy optimizing data systems and building them from the ground up. Also, this role will be responsible for transforming, storing data from multiple sources to build and maintain a centralized data warehouse. Practiced hands-on experience with big data systems: Microsoft SQL, Azure, AWS Redshift and strong SQL scripting.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Architect, design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve company data.
- Build and enforce database quality standards within the code base.
- Support transactional and reporting database efforts in support of the business needs.
- Write SQL scripts to create ETL pipelines that are highly optimized with large datasets.
- Follow the standards and best practices to develop the ETL jobs. Creating database solutions, evaluating requirements, and preparing design reports.
- Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating company operations, applications, and programming.
- Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
- Continue to develop your skills in database optimization, reporting, data analysis, and other database duties as a member of technology team.

- BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Strong T-SQL database, SSIS / or ETL tools development skills.
- Should have hands 6+ years of experience with database development using SQL Server.
- Experience designing and coding full database solutions from development to deployment.
- Perform complex database programming by writing SQL procedures on large-scale databases.
- Develop new database schema / objects and/or review existing objects to improve storage efficiency and access
- Creating, reviewing, analyzing, and modifying SQL scripts, procedures and supporting programs to ensure proper execution, efficient operation, and sustainable coding constructs.
- Good understanding of the features available in SQL Server / AWS to achieve a scalable database solution.
- Some experience with PowerShell with motivation to learn
- Data warehouse experience and tools (AWS, Red Shift, Azure)
- Experience with reporting tools such as PowerBI a plus.
