    Specific Duties and Responsibilities: MASTER LIST

    I am responsible for attending morning Informational Meetings and ensuring I have the clarity I need to perform against expectations on a daily basis. In addition, I am responsible for facilitating Informational Meetings to ensure my seasonal direct reports have the information they need to uphold performance expectations and consistently facilitate an on-brand camp experience.

    I am responsible for adapting, expanding upon, and implementing developmentally appropriate class content for each program I am directly responsible for: Character First, Life Skills Workshops, Youth Leadership, STEAM, Kids Yoga, Kids Move, and Improv.

    I am responsible for the safety and engagement of the children participating in my classes.

    I am responsible for class set-up and clean-up.

    I am responsible for breaking team members to ensure each member of the team has the opportunity to have scheduled time for “self-care” each day and selflessly serve the camp counselor team by providing sub coverage for sick team members throughout the camp season.

    I am responsible for promoting Youth Department events at Genesis Health Clubs.

    I am responsible for communicating planned vacation days prior to March 1st. Seasonal team members have a maximum capacity of 5 vacation days per camp season.

    I am responsible for working closely with the Camp Site Director to ensure on Purpose program engagement, participant growth and quality programming materials.

    I am responsible for instructing/ leading the following programs throughout the camp experience: Character First, Life Skills Workshops, Youth Leadership, STEAM, Kids Yoga, Kids Move, and Improv.

    I continuously perform Zone Management functions and am accountable for ensuring my Zone is Brand.

    I work in conjunction with the Youth Department Leadership Team to move our Team A+.

    I attend Team meetings and events and support fellow Team members in doing the same.

    I work to develop strong relationships with members and Team members, and commit to creating an On-Brand, enjoyable and inviting atmosphere for both members and Team within my department.

    I am an opening team member. During opening hours, I support with camp set up, camper engagement, and I own program prep to ensure an on-Brand start to the camp day.

    I am in a position of leadership on the camp team. I am conscious of my responsibility to model on Purpose performance and use my time with each team member to inspire others to consciously use Purpose, Values and Tools. I impact team member and camper lives!

    PHYSICAL and MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

    This position is full time (35-40hrs per week) seasonal from May 18th-August 7th.

    This position requires a person be physically fit and mentally alert. There may be a need for standing, walking, sitting, lifting, kneeling, reaching, handling, thinking, reasoning, and calculating, some of it constant.

    This position has an inherent amount of physical and mental stress. All candidates must be prepared for and capable of adapting to such conditions.

    The ability to efficiently run Outlook and other software packages used by the Company is a requirement for this position.

    A positive attitude and professional behavior are expected and displayed consistently in all dealings with members and/or fellow Team members. This person is expected to be a role model on a daily basis as a living example of the Purpose and Values of the Company.

    ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:

    The work is primarily indoors, but dependent on conditions, work out of doors may occasionally be required.

    Genesis Health Clubs to maintain a safe, healthy and pleasant working environment, but the Team member is expected to notify his/her superior immediately to repair any potentially unhealthy defect, condition, or situation.

    QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    Healthy and physically fit.

    Passionate about working with children.

    Fluent in English.

    Highly motivated and enthusiastic with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    A strong understanding of Customer Service.

    Effective organizational skills.

    Available to work days and evenings.

    Responsible for securing reliable transportation to and from work

    Must have previous experience developing class content and teaching/instructing similar programming for youth.

    Ability to be commit to the entire camp season, including each preseason training date
