Job Description

Genesis is hiring an experienced payroll clerk in Pasadena, TX. This is a contract position with possible opening for contract to hire.

Qualified candidates will have excellent verbal & written communication skills, be highly skilled in all Microsoft applications, and be organized & professional at all times. 

Prior experience administering payroll, including tax, vacations, wage garnishments, direct deposit setup, salary increases, and deductions is required.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED Minimum of 1 - 3 years of clerical experiences is required. Must have a strong focus on customer service, accuracy, good verbal and written communication, mathematical reasoning Excellent work ethic and organizational skills Ability to work with minimal supervision on most projects or tasks Strong interpersonal skills to influence and communicate effectively with all levels of personnel Demonstrate creative problem-solving skills Must be detail-oriented and have strong proof-reading skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with shifting priorities in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment Personal computer proficiency, experience utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; candidates may be tested for computer proficiency. Must have a current valid driver’s license. Have reliable transportation and be able to work 5+ days a week or as needed Must be able to meet all physical demands and pre-employment conditions, to include a criminal background check, motor vehicle check and drug screen.
